5th Grade Exhibition “Dear World”
PREP PRESS
As part of our International Baccalaureate curriculum, our fourth and fifth grade students created their own monthly newspaper, the PREP Press. Through this project, we hope to:
Help our students realize the commonalities among humanity
Awaken in our students the awareness that they have ownership of their communities
Broaden our students’ awareness of the world they are inheriting and all they can make of it
Baltimore. City. Public.
As part of their final year in PREP’s International Baccalaureate Candidate School program, our fifth grade students participated in an optional culminating project known as the Exhibition.
Students are required to engage in a collaborative, trans-disciplinary inquiry process that involves identifying, investigating, and offering solutions to real-life issues.
To begin, we ask them to brainstorm the issues that are important to them. Here is a compilation of ideas from our Class of 2021.
